VITEEE 2023 Chemistry Subject Wise Questions, List of Chapters & Topics: The Vellore Institute of Technology holds the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) every year in order to accept students to its BTech and other undergraduate engineering programmes. Every year, almost 2 lakh students at Vellore Institute of Technology submit applications for the exam. All eligible candidates will have the opportunity to enroll in the B.Tech programmes at the VIT campuses in Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal, and Amravati.

The VITEEE exam is conducted as a computer-based test which has a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes, or 180 minutes. Candidates preparing for the B.Tech. exam should stay updated with the topics and subtopics on which the question paper will be based. VITEEE Chemistry Subject Wise Questions 2023

According to the MPCEA VITEEE exam pattern 2023, the chemistry section will include 35 questions in total. The exam will last for two and a half hours and will not carry any negative marking.

  • Laws of thermodynamics - spontaneous and non-spontaneous processes, entropy, Gibb’s free energy - Standard Gibbs free energy change (ΔG0 ) and chemical equilibrium - significance of entropy.
  • Rate of a chemical reaction, factors affecting rates of reaction: concentration, temperature, pressure and catalyst; Law of mass action - Le Chatelier’s principle, applications of chemical equilibrium
  • Rate expression, order, and molecularity of reactions, zero order, first order and pseudo first order reaction - half-life period 
  • Determination of rate constant and order of reaction. Temperature dependence of rate constant - Arrhenius equation, activation energy and its calculation; elementary concept of collision theory of bimolecular gaseous reactions
