Through this counselling process, 15 per cent of the total seats in govt medical and dental colleges of India are filled.
All the Deemed and Central universities like AMU (Aligarh Muslim University), AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) and BHU (Banaras Hindu University) will be included in the process.
Colleges from all states except Jammu and Kashmir will participate in the process as J&K has opted out of it. Here, the counselling will be done under the State Quota scheme only.
