BHMS vs MBBS Admission Process

The difficulty level of the selection process for BHMS and MBBS are different. The admission process for the MBBS course is more comprehensive and competitive than the BHMS selection process. For MBBS admission, there is a single exam, i.e. NEET UG. Lakhs of applicants take the test every year and only the ones who qualify the exam are allowed to practice medicine and study MBBS. For BHMS, students need to pass NEET UG too. However, it is not mandatory. There are a few other state-level as well as institute-level entrance tests like the KEAM exam, TS EAMCET etc. that an individual can take for BHMS admission. Not only the BHMS aspirants have more exam options but also the difficulty level of these exams are less than NEET UG.
