Nearly 2,594 students in the city appeared for the Common Law Admission Test on May 8. Convenor of the examination and Vice- Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi National Law University, Patiala, Paramjit Jaswal said that the examinations passed off peacefully.
In Lucknow, 2,711 candidates were slated to appear for the examinations but only 2,594 turned up. No problem was reported from any centre across the country, he added.The questions with answer keys for the CLAT examinations would be uploaded on May 12. The students will be given a three-day window to raise their objections to answers with proper evidence. After May 15, we will go through these objections for a period of five days and make changes and award marks when we declare the result on May 23.
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an all-India entrance examination conducted on rotation by 17 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to their undergraduate and post-graduate degree programmes.
The 17 participating NLUs in the order of their year of establishment are the National Law School of India University, (NLSIU), Bangalore, National Academy of Legal Study and Research University of Law (NALSAR), Hyderabad, the National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Kolkata, National Law University (NLU), Jodhpur, Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar, Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University (RMLNLU), Lucknow, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna, National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, National Law University (NLU), Odisha, Cuttack, National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, National Law University and Judicial Academy (NLUJAA), Assam, Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU), Visakhapatnam, Tamil Nadu National Law School (TNNLS), Tiruchirapalli and Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Mumbai.
