30% of Seats for Maharashtra Students in Law Varsities, Says CM Devendra Fadnavis
The announcement made by the CM rekindled the hopes of law aspirants in Aurangabad.
The Chief Minister of Maharashtra,Mr. Devendra Fadnavis announced that the government is committed to setting up National Law University in Aurangabad. The government would provide all the help required for this purpose. He also mentioned that constructive work has been going on to implement 30% of seats in National Law Universities that will be reserved for Maharashtra students. He mentioned that the government has the right to take the decision to reserve seats as it is spending Rs. 1,000 crores for setting up such institutions.

The National Law University (NLU) is already functional in Mumbai and Nagpur. The establishment of NLU in Aurangabad has been postponed due to various technical issues which include pending litigations. The announcement made by the CM rekindled the hopes of law aspirants in Aurangabad.

Most of the law aspirants expressed happiness over the 30% reserved seats in law varsities. Currently, the aspirants of law from Aurangabad and surrounding areas are travelling to Mumbai and Nagpur to pursue law courses. The proposal to set up NLU was made in the month of May.
