40-Year-Old Candidates Register for TS EAMCET 2020
Age is not a factor for candidates interested in admission in engineering/ pharmacy course. Candidates born in the 1970s also applied for TS EAMCET 2020.
TS EAMCET 2020 exam date has been released and it is scheduled to be conducted from July 06 to 09, 2020. This year, around 1.42 lakh candidates have registered for Engineering stream and around 77,942 candidates have applied for Agriculture stream.
This year, a new trend was seen in which candidates of age 47 too applied for TS EAMCET. According to the applications received by officials, candidates of age more than 40 were interested in appearing for the entrance test.
As there is no upper age limit to apply for engineering and pharmacy courses admissions through the TS EAMCET engineering test, the age factor was not an issue for interested candidates to apply for TS EAMCET.
According to TS-EAMCET rules, students applying for admission in engineering and pharmacy courses through TS-EAMCET must have a minimum age of 16 years on December 31 of the year there is no upper age limit.
The age limit for admission in some specific courses for admission through TS-EAMCET is given below:
B.Tech Dairy Technology, B.Tech Agriculture Engineering, B. Tech Food Technology and B.Sc (CA & BM): Lower age limit- 17 and upper age limit is 22 years for OC and OBCcandidates. The upper age limit for SC and ST candidates is 25 years.
B.Sc Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture, B.Sc (Hons) Horticulture, B. Sc Forestry, B.Tech Food Technology and BFSc: Lowe age limit is 17 years and upper age limit is 22 years. The upper age limit for SC and ST candidates is 25 years.

The number of TS- EAMCET applications received for 2020 has increased amid Coronavirus pandemic. More than 2.20 lakh applications have been received so far.
The exam authorities said that they did not expect much applications this year due to the prevailing health crisis across the State. So far, 3000 more applications have been received compared to the previous year and it is expected to increase till the last day of TS- EAMCET registration with late fees. The last date of registering was till June 15 with late fees of Rs.500
