79 Students Restricted from Taking DU Exams

Delhi University (DU) students are trying hard to attain the minimum necessary attendance required to be eligible to sit for the exams. However, it is not tough as the management surprisingly got lenient and allowed students to sit for the exams.

Vivekananda College, on the other hand, has shown strictness by refusing 79 students to sit for the exam stating that being lenient does not mean that there is no limit attached to it.

Hina Nandrajog, Principal of the college stated that the minimum attendance required for first year and second year students is 40% and 55% respectively. She added that anyone who does not fulfill the attendance criteria would not be allowed to sit for the exam.

She also said that guidelines of the university are very transparent regarding the attendance issue, which the colleges must adhere to. Students are not supposed to leave the classes until and unless there is a valid reason behind it. She also added that the attendance of each student is uploaded every month and sent to the student’s parents at the end of each semester. After that, parents are even invited to the college to discuss the matter in depth, just in case they are unaware of it.
