Students of School of Media & Communication (SMC) at Whistling Woods International (WWI), Mumbai had the rare opportunity to meet Surya Narayan, Head of Business, Hungama Digital Services in a Master Class
Surya Narayan spoke about the different shifts in the spectrums of the advertising industry in recent years and overall impact on the shift from traditional to present day digital media and social media. He had has worked in both the areas and he was very excited to share his experience and understanding of the industry with the students of the institute.

Besides that, he also enlightened the impact of television on society and how it has influenced today's youths in a big way. Previously it was the traditional print medium that was dominating the space, then it moved to electronic media like television and finally now its is to digital space.
He also mentioned that brands spend12% on an average in the digital space and get a good response.
While illustrating on examples of the Airtel and Mahindra XUV 500 campaign, he said that both the campaigns were differently made for television and digital space. Both the platforms - digital and electronic offer different ‘Air Time’ for the campaigns to be played. Narayan also emphasized on the various aspects that are taken into consideration to define the nature of the advertisement.
