ABVP meets Union Health Minster regarding NEET PG 2023: Extension of internship deadline and exam postponement in agenda
A delegation of ABVP has met the Union Minister of Health to postpone NEET PG 2023 and submitted a memorandum by highlighting the problems that the PG medical aspirants are facing.
NEET PG 2023: A delegation of ABVP met the Union Minister of Health Mansukh Mandaviya on February 2 and submitted a memorandum seeking the postponement of NEET PG 2023. The memorandum also requests the Union health Minister to reconsider the internship deadline wherein the deadline can be extended till July 31, 2023. The ABVP delegation discussed reducing the time gap between the exam date and counselling. However, no decision has been taken by the Union Health Minister yet regarding the NEET PG 2023 postponement.
Some of the points mentioned by ABVP in its memorandum to the Union Health Minister are as follows –
- Extension of internship deadline to July 31, 2023
- Re-opening of NEET PG application form 2023
- Reducing the gap days between exam date and counselling
- Reconsider the decision to conduct NEET PG 2023 on March 5

ABVP has confirmed that the Union Health Minister sought information on the state-wise data, and directed the authorities to find out how many NEET PG 2023 aspirants are exactly affected. ABVP further requested the Health Minister to take a favourable decision by considering the problems that the PG medical aspirants are facing.

The Union Health Minister is yet to respond on the issue, and there is no confirmation on when a decision can be expected on NEET PG. On the other hand, several NEET PG aspirants are taking to Twitter to express their grief and demanding the Union Health Minister postpone the exam.
