Acharya Nagarjuna University to Set Up Centre for Advanced Research and Applied Technology

Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) – Andhra Pradesh will soon set up a Centre for Advanced Research and Applied Technology (CARAT) on its campus. The varsity will receive Rs. 50 crores grant from National Higher Education Mission (NHEM). The Ministry of Human Resource Development has approved the grant, and the same will be disbursed to the varsity soon.

In order to set up CARAT, the officials of ANU have submitted the proposal to NHEM. The officials of ANU will visit New Delhi to give a power point presentation on the proposal to set up CARAT, its purpose, benefits, and research outcomes. Based on the presentation, NHEM will approve the grant of Rs. 50 crore.

According to ANU officials, NHEM is keen to grant funds for the Advanced Research and Applied Technology Centre. The authorities have submitted research proposals for the next 15 years, and the performance will be reviewed for every five years.

Through the Centre for Advanced Research and Applied Technology, any research scholar can take up research in the field of Science and Technology, Management Sciences, Social Sciences, Child Labour, Swachh Bharat etc. The CARAT will provide the required facilities to the research scholars for pursuing research.

More details regarding the CARAT will be announced soon, as the varsity is yet to receive the grant.

ANU is expected to issue official notification for PG (Post Graduate) admissions in March 2019. The varsity conducts entrance exam for PG admissions in May every year.
