Admission notice – IIT Jodhpur Announces Admission for M.Tech 2016

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jodhpur invites applications for admission to Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, Master of Science (M.Sc) in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Computer Science, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics and Biology programs for the academic session July, 2016-17.

Eligibility Criteria-

For M.Sc Programs: Candidates should have bachelor's degree with Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics as a subject (respectively for Department of Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics) for three years or six semesters and Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics at (10+2) level.

For M.Tech Programs: Candidates should have B.Tech, B.E or B.Sc (Engineering) with at least 60% marks or at least 6.5/10 Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).

For Ph.D Programs: Applicants with a master’s degree in Engineering namely M.Tech., M.E, M.Sc (Engineering) or MS by Research with at least 60% marks or at least 6.5/10 Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) are eligible to apply. Such students are required to have at least 60% marks or 6.5/10 CPI or CGPA in bachelor’s degree.

Applicants are required to pay the processing fee of Rs. 300/- for general and OBC applicants and Rs. 150/- for SC, ST, and PD applicants online while submitting the application form.

Selection Procedure-

Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the written test and interview conducted by the institute.

Important Dates-

· Last date for submission of online application form: Monday, April 18, 2016.

· Announcement of short listed candidates for the admission process: Monday, April 25, 2016.
