Admission Notice- LU Announces Admission to 5-year integrated MBA programme

Lucknow University (LU) has opened its gates for students interested for admission to its newly introduced 5-year integrated MBA programme from its new academic session.

The course is divided into two degrees:

• 3-year graduation degree
• 2-year MBA programme.

The course offers only 60 seats.

LU has now become the first University in the state to have launched such a course. “The 5-year course will equip students with dual degree (BBA + MBA). The pass outs of the programme are expected to be true management professionals with a rigorous management training to back them. During the course, students will also have the option of choosing specialisations like HR, finance and control, international business, and marketing,” said Arvind Mohan, director, Institute of Management Sciences, LU – the umbrella body for all MBA courses in the university.

While there have been integrated courses for law like BA-LLB Hons that is a 5-year programme, there was no such option for management studies in the state, so far. IIM Indore started the initiative a few years ago. “So, we decided to tap into young management students soon after they completed their class 12 examinations,” added Mohan.

Courses Offered:

LU has also invited applications for 60 seats each of BBA, BBA (IB), BBA (MS), and 100 seats of B Com (Hons).

Application Procedure:

• Application forms are available on the official website of the University.
• The application form fee for General/OBC category candidates will be Rs 1500 and Rs 1000 for SC/ST category candidates (inclusive of counselling fee). No additional fee will be charged at the time of counselling. The fee can be paid online through the links available in the website.

Note: Those who cannot pay online may pay by cash at any ICICI bank branch through the hard copy of the Challan, which can be printed from university website.

Selection Criteria:

On the basis of Lucknow University Graduate Management Admission Test (LUGMAT 2016).

Eligibility Criteria:

Students who have completed education till class 12 with at least 50% marks are eligible.

Fee details:

First six semesters: Rs 30,000 per semester will be charged.

Last four semesters: Rs 75,000 shall be charged.
