Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology have opened its gates for students interested in admission to 4 years Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), lateral entry to B.Tech and 2 years Master of Technology (M.Tech) programs for the commencing session 2016.

Eligibility Criteria for SMIT, Rangpo:

• For B.Tech Programs:

10+2/equivalent with 50% marks in PCM.

• For B.Tech Lateral Programs:

Diploma in appropriate branch or B.Sc with Mathematics, with 60% marks.

• For M.Tech Programs:

BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Mechanical Engg/ EC/ EE/ Metallurgical/ Aerospace/ Chemical Engg or M.Sc Physics/Chemistry/ Material Science/ Electronic Science with 55% marks.

How to Apply for SMIT, Rangpo:

• Application forms are available on the official website of the University.

For B.Tech program:

If the application is downloaded from the website then candidate is supposed to send a DD of Rs 1600 (Rs 600 for Prospectus + Rs 1000 for entrance exam fee) along with the filled application form to the Chairman Admissions (Technical Campus).

If collected from the bank then candidate should send a DD of Rs 1000 (entrance exam fee) along with the filled application form to the Chairman Admissions (Technical Campus).

Selection Procedure for SMIT, Rangpo:

• For B.Tech Programs:

SMIT Offline Test, JEE or MU-OET.

• For B.Tech Lateral Programs:

Marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

• For M.Tech Programs:

GATE/MU-OET/entrance test by SMU at SMIT.

Important Dates:

For B.Tech Programs:

Last date for receipt of duly filled application forms: Saturday, May 14, 2016.

Date of SMIT offline test: Sunday, May 15, 2016.

For B.Tech Lateral Programs:

Last date for receipt of duly filled application forms: Monday, July 25, 2016.

Date of screening test: Tuesday, July 26, 2016.

For M.Tech Programs:

Last date for receipt of duly filled application forms: Wednesday, August 10, 2016.

Date of screening test: Thursday, August 11, 2016.
