Admission to 9 IIMs to take place through Common Admission Process

Check out the 9 IIMs that will be participating in CAP 2017:
- IIM Rohtak
- IIM Trichy
- IIM Ranchi
- IIM Sambalpur
- IIM Kashipur
- IIM Amritsar
- IIM Raipur
- IIM Udaipur
- IIM Bodh Gaya
Although the admission platform will be the same, different IIMs will have different selection procedures and cutoffs. Candidates who have qualified CAT 2016 will have to appear for the Group Discussion (GD), Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Some IIMs including IIM Rohtak will give preference to non-engineering and female candidates to maintain the diversity on their campus.
To learn more about the selection criteria, you can visit the official websites of these institutes. Students who have been shortlisted by the older IIMs will not have to appear for CAP as few of the older IIMs will share PA scores of candidates with IIM Rohtak.

Candidates shortlisted by more than one older IIMs will have their scores averaged at the IIMs where they have been interviewed. The new IIMs will prepare their own merit list on the basis of respective PA scores and CAP results.
The CAP-conducting institute will keep the other institutes posted about the results of the common admission procedure. IIM Kashipur had conducted CAP last year.
