Lalit Narayan Mithila University is soon going to have its own research centre at the university, under the collaboration of Michigan University, United States of America. The university is going to establish an ‘Advance Research Centre for Nano-Technology. The advance research centre would be made under the supervision of four scientists. The scientists have been appointed by the initiation of the central government.
The nanotechnology works at the micro level. Three cycles of meetings have already been conducted in this regard. The Ex- VC Mr Rajmani Prasad Singh extensively discussed the project of the setting up of the research centre. First, the blueprint for the project has to be decided by the committee in concern in collaboration with the Vice Chancellor of the university, Mr. (Prof) Mumtazuddin. The work of setting up of the advanced research centre at the university is being supervised by the VC.
The team will visit the Aryabhatta Knowledge University and the University of Allahabad in order to finalise the united decision by the scientists and the university administration.
The total budget of setting up the advanced research centre for Nano – Technology, is Rs. 1 crore. Also, about Rs 10 Lakh would be assigned for the maintenance of the centre every year.
