Agricultural College Inaugurated at Regional Agriculture Research Station, Warangal

A new Agricultural College at Regional Agriculture Research Station (RARS), Warangal has been formally inaugurated by Kadiyam Srihari Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana on November 24, 2016. The college has ben established through a Government Order (GO) No. 68 on the premises of RARS. The academic session has been commenced in a temporary building at RARS. A separate temporary building has been constructed for this purpose. A total number of 35 girls and 25 boys are pursuing B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture in the College.

On this occasion, Kadiyam Srihari assured that the government would allocate Rs. 50 crore for the construction of a permanent building with essential infrastructure. He appreciated the girls of the college for taking up agriculture sciences as a career and motivated them to do well in studies. He also assured that the government would provide all the minimum requirements necessary for the college.

He further added that the permanent campus would be constructed on 10 acres of land adjacent to RARS. for this purpose, a proposal has already been sent to the government. He explained that the main objective of the government is to transform Telangana into an educational hub. The government has already sanctioned a Veterinary College and Tribal University in the state.

He announced that Hyderabad Public School and Sainik School would come up in Warangal soon.

Srinivas Reddy, Agriculture Minister, announced that the government has allotted Rs. 93 crore for the development of infrastructure in agriculture colleges across the state.
