The University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) was asked by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) to reduce its intake of students by 10 percent from the next academic year. However, AICTE has revoked its decision of doing so and the university will admit students without any deduction in seats now.
The number of seats for undergraduate courses at UVCE is 550 and the number of postgraduate seats are 350 for the academic session of 2019-2020. The numbers will remain the same next year as well.
