AICTE Launches Free E-Learning Portal for Students
The e-learning portal launched by the AICTE is known as ELIS (Enhancement in Learning with Improvement in Skills) that can be accessed by the students by visiting the official website of AICTE.
The All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) has launched an E-Learning portal for the students in lieu of the Global pandemic COVID-19 affecting the regular academic learning and schedule. The e-learning portal launched by the AICTE is known as ELIS (Enhancement in Learning with Improvement in Skills) that can be accessed by the students by visiting the official website of AICTE. The main aim of launching the free e-learning portal by AICTE is to provide digital learning for an uninterrupted education among students and to support the student’s community all over the Country.

On Sunday, April 12 2020, the director of All India Council of Technical Education, Prof Anil Sahasrabudhe launched the e-learning portal of AICTE along with the Vice Chairman and the Member Secretary of AICTE, Prof. M.P Poonia, and Prof Rajive Kumar respectively. As per the official statement issued by the Council of Technical Education, many Corporations have been coming forward to offer their digital course free of cost for the e-learning portal.
The courses included in the e-learning portal of AICTE will consist of advanced courses from 18 high tech companies of India constituting for a total of 26 different courses. The courses are designed not only to provide the basic knowledge to the students but also enhance their advanced skills which can help them in the future to employ the learning in the industrial set up. The development team for ELIS will consist of the chief coordinating officer, Buddha Chandrashekhar and the member of NEAT and NEAT Cell team, Dr Elangovan, Baljeet Singh, and Debanshu Srivastava.

As per the statement issued by the Council, the courses which will be included in the portal normally cost in the range of INR 5,000 to 20,000 for each course. While until May 15 2020, all of these courses will be offered by the respective institutes free of cost because of the global pandemic outspread. It further added that the students who enrol in these courses as of now will be charged no money until the course is completed.
Prof Sahasrabudheexpressed his gratitude towards the industries for offering the courses free of cost as a step towards fighting the Global pandemic together.
