Carrying on with the program of skill development, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav handed 1,000 appointment letters to the respective trainees, apart from giving cheques of INR 30,000 to each trainee. But this is not all. There were 100 girls who received LED bulbs from the CM.
MoUs were also signed with many companies of repute, with the aim of providing jobs under various categories. The Taj Nature Walk acted as the venue for the program that lasted for two hours.
Akhilesh Yadav commented that the state was a pioneer while implementing the policy of skill development. It had also given a booster to the 'sabkohunar, sabkokaam' that was aimed for a population that was between 14 and 35 years. Carrying on, the Chief Minister added that there were 17 lakh laptops that were distributed, and 45 lakh poor women who received the ‘Samajwadi’ pension, setting a world record.
But Uttar Pradesh alone is not the first state that is helping the process of skill development. Some time back, the Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar declared that there was a proposal for setting up a Skill Development University in Haryana, which has been sent to the Union HRD Ministry. Teachers will be trained while they modify and improve their pedagogical skills, with the aim of establishing that they were good teachers and provide respect to the profession.
