Allahabad Degree College to Start Teacher Recruitment Process After 18 Years: Check the Reason Behind Such Long Gap

Prayagraj: Allahabad Degree College (ADC), a constituent college of Allahabad University has decided to recruit 132 teachers. The decision has been taken to end the shortage of teachers in the college. The process of recruitment is being held after a gap of 18 years. Earlier, in 2004, 22 teachers were recruited by the Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Service Commission (UPHESC) in the state.
The VC, Prof Sangita Srivastava has expedited the process of recruitment of teachers along with the support of the college administration. Due to her initiative, the college will be advertising the vacancies soon.
The Principal ADC, Atul Kumar Singh stated that “After getting the approval from AU, we have started the process for the recruitment of teachers in our college and all the needed preparation have been completed, including testing of online application forms on the college portal, so that the candidates do not face any problems on the website at the time of filing the application”.
Candidates must note that the college will release the notification for filling up applications soon. In Allahabad University a total of 164 teachers have been recently appointed along with this the application process for teacher recruitment has been completed in Ishwar Sharan Degree College, SS Khanna Girls Degree College, and Syama Prasad Mukherjee.
In terms of ADC, the administration has approved the recruitment of 132 teachers in 24 departments and has started preparation for teacher recruitment at the college. In the department of Law, a maximum of 22 posts will be recruited. At the same time, students in the physics and computer science faculties would benefit as there is not a single regular faculty in those faculties, college officials stated. Currently, only 33 teachers are against the sanctioned 165 teaching posts.
