Earlier, the state government issued a separate notification stating that the admissions to AYUSH courses will be based on NEET. Not satisfied with the decision of the state government, Mr. Amit Kumar filed a petition in High Court against the state government’s order. The petitioner claimed that CBSE did not specify admission criteria for AYUSH courses in the official notification of NEET-UG 2017 and it is mandatory to conduct admission process for AYUSH courses based on NEET score. The petitioner also indicated that aspirants were shocked with the sudden issue of notification on AYUSH courses based on NEET score.
