Allahabad University Cancels Law Exam
- Allahabad University examination committee has found substantial evidence of mass cheating inside the exam centre.
- They have also decided that there will be a change in the timings of law exams for 4th and 6th-semester students.
Allahabad University has cancelled the law exams of 4th and 6th semester. The exams took place at AU centre and the last exam was on 18 April 2018. The exams have been called off as there were reports of mass copying by the examinees.
The examination committee has collected substantial evidence of students carrying a mobile phone and another device inside the exam centre and many cases related to cheating have also been reported and soon suitable action would be taken against them.

The meeting was organized by the examination committee and it was decided that the entire exam section of both the semesters should be cancelled as there were reports of mass copying. The committee members said that this step was necessary to maintain the sanctity of exams. The fresh dates of the law exams for both semesters will be announced later by the controller of exams.

In another decision, the examination committee has also decided that there will be a change in the timings of law exams for 4th and 6th-semester students. The law exams for the 4th semester will now be held in the afternoon session (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm) and the law exams for the 6th semester will now take place in the morning session (7:00 am to 10:00 am). University is also planning to introduce strict measures and install cameras in the exam centres to avoid any more cases like these.
