Ambedkar University Delhi Approves New Bachelor’s Course in Law and Politics
- Ambedkar University Delhi will offer Bachelor’s course in Law and Politics from the academic session 2018-19.
- The first cut-off list for UG courses will be released on July 06, 2018.
After receiving an overwhelming response for its inter-disciplinary postgraduate course in law, politics and society, Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) is all set to launch Bachelor’s course in Law and Politics. The new interdisciplinary UG course was approved by the varsity last week. The School of Law and Global Citizenship or SLGC at AUD has launched a B.A course, which is expected to be much more disciplinary oriented. The new course will strengthen the foundation in the respective discipline.
Professor at SLGC, Lawrence Liang pointed that the new undergraduate course in law and politics will offer foundational courses in law and political theory. The course will progress into an interdisciplinary course only in the final year. The total duration of the Bachelor’s course in Law and Politics is three years, he added.

Lawrence Liang further mentioned that the new Bachelor’s course offered by AUD would not compete with any of the traditional law courses.
Today, law courses have emerged as the most sought-after courses in India with many students taking entrance exams for the admission to these courses.
The online application process for Under Graduate (UG) courses offered by Kashmere Gate campus of AUD will close on June 23, 2018. The first cut-off list for UG courses will be out on July 09, 2018, after which the admission process commences for UG courses. The varsity will release six cut-off lists until the seats are filled within the stipulated admission deadline.
