Amity University Celebrates Founder’s Day
‘Sangathan 2016’ - Founder's Day celebrations at Amity University took place at the Noida campus. Students were felicitated for their achievements in the field of sports.
Thousands of students from the national and international campuses of Amity University were present at the Founder’s Day celebrations, also known as 'Sangathan 2016' that was held at Amity Campus in Noida. ‘Sangathan 2016’.
It is an annual sports meet where students from national and international campuses of Amity compete in various sports events and vintage games. The meet concluded on the birthday of Dr. Ashok Chauhan, Founder-President of Amity Group.

‘Sangathan 2016’, the 18th Mega Inter-Institutional Sports Meet was held in a grand style at Amity Campus, Noida. Around 1,693 participants were felicitated by Dr. Ashok Chauhan. Apart from them, 77 faculty members who showed excellent sportsmanship and skills in more than 22 sports, were also felicitated. Various sports events like volleyball, badminton, chess, high jump, swimming, shooting, kabaddi, cricket, basketball and much more were conducted as a part of the Founder’s Day celebrations.
Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Noida lifted the winners trophy by winning 10 Gold Medals, 12 Silver Medals, and 13 Bronze Medals. On the other hand, Amity Law School, Noida was declared as the First Runner-up. It won 9 Gold Medals, 15 Silver Medals, and 7 Bronze Medals.
Similarly, the combined teams of Amity Institute of Neuropsychology and Neurosciences, Amity Institute of Psychology, Amity Institute of Forensic Sciences and Amity Institute Behavioural and Allied Sciences were declared as Second Runners-up. They won 12 Gold Medals and 3 Bronze Medals.
On this day, Dr. Ashok Chauhan came forward to inaugurate a “Happiness Tree” that symbolises the elements of happiness in an artistic way.
