AMU Ph.D Admissions 2018-19 Vacancies, Application Process and Selection Process

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has released the official notification for Ph.D admissions for the session 2018-19. The online application process for AMU Ph.D courses is now open, and the eligible candidates can apply on or before October 15, 2018. AMU has not yet released the official schedule for Ph.D admissions, and the same will be intimated to the applicants by the respective departments. Indian nationals, as well as foreign nationals, can apply for AMU Ph.D. programmes. AMU Ph.D Admissions 2018-19 Application Process
The online application process for Ph.D courses offered by AMU is divided into the following steps: -
Pre-Registration: - The candidates must visit the official website of AMU Controller of Examinations to submit the online application for Ph.D courses. Before filling the online application, the candidates must complete the Registration on the official website. The candidates must create a username and password to create the account. At the same time, the candidates must enter valid e-mail ID and mobile number to submit to complete the registration.
Submitting Online Application: After the successful pre-registration, the candidates will be redirected to the login page. The candidates must enter the username and password to log in and fill out the online application. The candidates must complete the following to submit the online application form for AMU Ph.D courses: -
- Filling Profile/ Personal Details
- Educational Qualification
- Upload Photo
- Selection of Category
- Uploading Documents
- Apply/ Submit the Application
The candidates must pay the application fee after uploading the documents.

- Graduation Marksheet
- Post Graduation (PG) Marksheet
- UGC NET/ JRF Score Card (Applicable to Candidates Seeking Exemption from AMU Ph.D Entrance Exam)
- Passport (Applicable to International/ Foreign Applicants)
- Synopsis or Ph.D Proposal (Applicable to International/ Foreign Applicants)
AMU Ph.D Entrance Exam Pattern
AMU Ph.D Entrance Exam is divided into Section – A and Section – B. The duration of the entrance exam is two years, and the weightage is 80 marks. The detailed AMU Ph.D Entrance Exam Pattern is elaborated below –

AMU Ph.D Admissions 2018-19 Selection Process
The selection of candidates for the admission in Ph.D courses offered by AMU will be based on written test, merit and presentation cum personal interview. Candidates with a valid UGC NET/ JRF score can directly attend the presentation cum personal interview. AMU will admit the candidates who perform well in all stages of the selection process.
