AMU Teachers’ Association Demands UGC to Thoroughly Investigate Anomalies
AMUTA has demanded a high-level probe into the misdeeds that took place under the administration of the current Vice Chancellor and has also written to the UGC Chairman regarding the same.
The Teachers’ Association of Aligarh Muslim University (AMUTA) has demanded a high-level probe into the misdeeds that took place under the administration of the current Vice Chancellor. The Association has also written to the UGC Chairman regarding the same and has requested for an investigation.

A resolution was passed by the Executive Committee of the AMUTA on Saturday, October 15, asking the HRD Ministry to inquire about the irregularities that have affected the reputation of the university. The committee has demanded MHRD to investigate the promotions, appointments and admissions done under the administration of Vice Chancellor Lt. General Zameeruddin Shah.
AMUTA has created a buzz about the misdeeds that have been happening in the university at the time when the celebrations of the varsity’s annual founder’s day are in progress that will be celebrated tomorrow, on October 18. Chairman of UGC, Ved Prakash will be the chief guest at the event.

Mustapha Zaidi, AMUTA Secretary informed that they will be warmly welcoming the Chairman of UGC but will also be urging him to take action and look into the matter deeply. He also said that according to the report filed by the Auditor General, a large number of irregularities have been uncovered in the financial affairs of the University that should be questioned.
