Anand Kumar of Super 30 receives Award from Arun Jaitley
On this occasion, Anand Kumar said that every award gives him more encouragement and makes him work with zeal.
Anand Kumar who runs Super 30, a coaching institute for underprivileged students has been awarded 'Lakshmipat Singhania IIM Lucknow National Leadership Award'. The award has been presented by Arun Jaitley, Finance Minister of India. The award was presented on 17-July-2016. On this occasion, Anand Kumar said that every award gives him more encouragement and makes him work with zeal.
Super 30 was established in the year 2002 in Bihar. Since then, it has become a boon to underprivileged students who aspire for IIT. It has helped hundreds of students in chasing IIT dream.
Through this Institute, Anand Kumar selects and trains 30 students every year to crack IIT without charging any fee. The students are provided with the residential facility.
This year, a total number of 28 students out of 30 qualified in JEE Advanced examination. Most of the students who cleared the examination are from backward areas.
Last year, France delegates visited the institute and appreciated the efforts of Anand Kumar. They also interacted with the students. US President Barak Obama’s special envoy Rashad Hussain also visited the institute and termed it one of the best institutes. Around 300 students cracked JEE since its inception.
Anand Kumar has also been awarded ‘Maharshi Ved Vyas National Award’ by the government of Madhya Pradesh for his outstanding contribution in the field of education.
