Anand Kumar’s Super 30 to Receive Funds from Saudi Arabia

Anand Kumar’s Super 30, a coaching institute in Bihar that provides free coaching to the economically weaker students is all set to get more financial aid. Mr. Obaidur Rahman, a businessperson in Saudi Arabia as well as Chairman of Bihar Foundation has come forward to provide financial aid to 30 minority students. He formed an organisation called Rahman 30. The minority students aspiring for IITs will be selected through a screening test. The selected students will get free coaching to IIT entrance examination at Anand Kumar’s Super 30.

Mr. Rahman revealed that the objective is to provide employable education to students through rigorous training. Most of the students from minority communities are financially weak, and it is obstructing the students to take up higher studies.
He cited the report of MHRD 2015-16 on Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) in Higher Education. The report indicated that minorities continued to be at the bottom level with regard to higher education. Only 4.4 percent students from minority communities enrol in higher education. On the other hand, the dropout rate among the Muslim students is high at 17.6%. He stated that he was highly inspired by the work that is being done by Mr. Anand Kumar. Education is the most powerful aspect which can bring changes in the society, he added.

Mr. Rahman also pointed that students and faculty members of various institutes across the globe have been visiting Super 30 coaching institute and offering financial aid/ scholarships to Super 30 students to pursue higher education. Therefore, Mr. Rahman also decided to contribute something to the economically weaker and talented students from minority communities.
Recently, a team from Moscow University also visited Anand Kumar’s Super 30 coaching institute and interacted with students. The varsity has assured scholarships and higher education at Moscow University to few students of Super 30.
