Andhra CM Naidu Graces IIM Visakhapatnam Convocation Ceremony
- The 2nd convocation of IIM Visakhapatnam took place on March 29, 2018.

The second convocation ceremony of IIM Visakhapatnam was held on March 29, 2018. For the first time, the premier institute has awarded MBA degrees instead of diplomas. Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu was the Chief Guest of the convocation ceremony.
Addressing the students, Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu advised them to focus on becoming entrepreneurs while exercising their imaginative skills and not just job seekers. In order to become entrepreneurs and excel in their career, students shall come up with new ideas for creativity and innovation. He advised the students to visit the Capital city of Andhra Pradesh – Amravati to have a glimpse of his real-time management.

Honourable CM of AP further pointed that the fourth industrial revolution is underway with a major emphasis on the Internet of Things (IoT) and Information Technology (IT). It is the responsibility of the students to make appropriate use of technology in order to incubate new ideas. On the other hand, it is necessary to set goals and proceed systematically towards them, he added.
Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu enlightened students with the fact that building a strong career based on the ethical values is more significant than earning money. Income, salary and zeal to earn more are by-products that the students can achieve through a more consolidated approach, he explained.

Mr. Naidu appreciated the premier institute for reserving 25% seats for girls. Women empowerment can lead to the overall development of a country, he concluded.
A total number of 45 students received their MBA degrees in the presence of their parents. The graduating batch has recorded 100% placements.
