Only 14% B.Ed Seats Filled in Andhra Pradesh after Final Round Seat Allotment

This year as well a huge number of colleges in Andhra Pradesh is expected to record zero number of admissions. The situation has made clear that the functioning of the B.Ed colleges has become a question. The college management needs to bring a positive change in the entire system.

Based on the above statistics, it can be seen that not many candidates are keen to take up the AP EDCET exam. This year also only 11,490 students qualified the AP EDCET exam. Comparative to the previous year the number of B.Ed seats in Andhra Pradesh has reduced even then 90% of the seats are lying vacant. Mushrooming of B.Ed colleges is also one of the reasons for the same.

There are more than 450 B.Ed colleges across the state which offer a total number of 31,433 seats. This year, around 11,490 students, took the AP EDCET examination which was conducted for the admission to B.Ed course.

The AP EDCET 2nd phase counselling notification was released on 15 October 2019 by APSCHE. The counselling for AP EDCET 2019 is conducted on the basis of the AP EDCET 2019 rank card.
