Andhra Pradesh School Holiday 5 September 2024: The administration units of various districts in Andhra Pradesh are likely to declare holidays in the schools of all classes for September 5, 2024, as well, due to excessive rainfall in the region. According to the IMD’s weather report, an orange alert has been declared for Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Prakasam, East and West Godavari districts, so, the chances of continuation of shutdown are much higher in these districts. The torrential rains have disrupted daily life across several districts, raising concerns about the safety of students and staff. With weather conditions showing little sign of improvement, authorities are considering suspending classes to ensure the well-being of the students in the said districts.
Latest Update at 11: 50 PM: As per the latest updates available, All schools in Vijayawada have been declared closed. Many schools in Elluru, NTR, Guntur, Krishna, and East Godavari affected by floods and waterlogging shall remain closed. Officials have not issued any official statement on a state level yet.

Districts such as Krishna, Guntur, East Godavari, and West Godavari have been among the worst hit, with many areas facing severe disruptions. If the holiday is declared, it will apply to all schools in the affected districts, including government, private, and aided institutions. As per the IMD predictions, heavy rainfall likely at Isolated places is highly expected on the same day. While official confirmation from the state government is still awaited, there are indications that schools in certain districts may observe a holiday on this date.
