Andhra Pradesh School Holiday likley to be Declared in THESE Districts on October 16 and 17
The AP government is likely to announce a holiday for schools, colleges, and all educational institutions in 12 districts on October 16 and 17 due to heavy rain.
Andhra Pradesh School Holiday 16 and 17 October 2024: Due to heavy rain, the Andhra Pradesh government is expected to announce the holiday till October 17, 2024. Along with the schools, colleges, and other educational institutions might have a holiday on the respective dates. Based on the prediction made by the Indian Meteorological Department, there will be heavy rainfall in the next three days, till Thursday (that is October 17, 2024). An official announcement on school holiday on October 16 and 17 is expected soon.
Some districts of Andhra Pradesh have witnessed heavy rains since the morning of October 15. Hence, the Andhra Pradesh Govt. has declared a holiday for colleges and schools across the Chittoor, Tirupati, Nellore, and Prakasam districts on October 15. Furthermore, the heavy rain will likely be in Krishna, Prakasam, Bapatla, Chittoor, Tirupati, Nellore and Annamaiya districts. Apart from that the residents from the Tugo district are also demanding a holiday due to heavy rain.
The low pressure has formed in the South Bay of Bengal and had strengthened on Monday (October 14) and will be moved towards the coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Also, it is expected that on Wednesday, many districts of Andhra Pradesh will experience heavy to very heavy rainfall. Along with the heavy rainfall, winds will be blown by 45 to 65 KM/ hour across the above-mentioned districts. The Andhra Pradesh Govt. has issued a Red alert for these districts. The schools were all set to re-open after the Dussehra holiday, but due to natural calamity, the schools are closed till October 17, 2024. For the latest updates, the parents and the students are asked to be in touch with the school management.
