Andhra University Introduces Diploma Course for Defence Personnel
- Andhra University has launched a dedicated diploma course exclusively for defence personnel in the Department of Meteorology and Oceanography.
- Eligible candidates can apply for the programme latest by 5 pm on 30th June.
Andhra University is introducing a six months diploma programme in Safety and Disaster Management. The new programme will be exclusively for defence personnel in its Department of Meteorology and Oceanography.
Candidates who have 10+2 course and are working in defence are eligible to for the diploma programme in Safety and Disaster Management.
Interested candidates can apply for the programme latest by 5 pm on 30th June and the filled in application should be submitted at the head of the department, Meteorology and Oceanography.

The registration fee for the programme is Rs.1,000. The counselling process will start on 6th July. However, candidates should keep in mind that they will not be sent a separate call letter. The course will start on 9th July.

The resource persons for the programme will be drawn from different scientific organizations, university academia, IMD, NIO, NDRF and experts from the disaster management field.
Andhra University is located in Vishakhapatnam and was established in the year 1926. The varsity is divided into two campuses - North Campus and South Campus. The North Campus of the university offers engineering courses and the South Campus is home to science and humanities stream along with the university administrative block. The university offers a variety of bachelor's, master's and doctoral programmes in science, commerce and humanities stream.
