Andhra University to Launch New Courses from 2018
- Andhra University to launch 10 new courses from 2018. One-month GST course is among the new courses that will be offered from 2018.
The Academic Senate of Andhra University has given the nod to launch new courses from the next academic session. Vice Chancellor of the varsity, Mr. Nageswara Rao chaired the Senate meeting on November 29, 2017. Differing issues were discussed during the meeting. During the meeting, the VC issued guidelines for preparing the 91st annual report of the varsity. Later, discussions took place on new courses and its modalities.
New Courses Offered by the Academic Senate of Andhra University:
- M.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering
- M.Tech in Data Analytics
- M.Tech in Cyber Security
- Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy
- Diploma course in Spanish
- Diploma course in Arabic
- Diploma course in Urdu
- One month course in Goods Services Tax (GST)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Social Responsibility
- Post Graduate Diploma in Food Science and Nutrition

The following are some of the major decisions taken by Academic Senate: -
- Students who have completed B.Sc in Mathematics, Economics and Computers are eligible to seek admission to M.A Economics and Applied Economics course at Andhra University.
- Students who have completed B.Sc Medical Lab Technology from NTR University of Health Sciences can seek admission to M.Sc Microbiology course at Andhra University.
- The intake of MHRM course has been reduced to 40 from 50 students. Out of 40 seats, 10 seats will be offered under self-finance mode.
- Due to poor response, the Senate has given the nod to discontinue a few courses in distance mode including Diploma in Music, Diploma in Journalism and PG Diploma in Public Relations.
