Anna University to Offer Post Doctoral Fellowships
For the first time ever Anna University is planning to offer Post Doctoral Fellowships. According to the university officials, they want to put the research resources to good use.
For the first time ever, Anna University has decided to offer postdoctoral fellowships from the upcoming academic year. According to the AU officials, they want to put the research resources into good use and offering postdoctoral fellowships is a good move. As of now, there is no deadline to apply for Anna University Doctoral Fellowships.
Mr.J. Kumar, Registrar Anna University, more than 60 crores have been spent in the purchase of equipment in the past four to five year and the varsity is looking for professionals/ few postdoctoral fellows who are more responsible in handling the high-cost equipment and can conduct good quality research. A committee will be formed for the same who will be managing and shortlisting the fellowship applications. AU will give more preference to the research fellows who are interested to work with the departments other than the ones related to their field of specialisation.
According to the reports, Postdoctoral Fellows will be provided with accommodation. The accommodation will be either at the Anna University guest house or within the premises of the university. The postdoctoral fellows will be given accommodation for a period of two years and the same will be extended on the basis of their performance.
The varsity officials also informed that they are looking for enthusiastic research fellows who are well aware of the kind of research activity and will make a significant contribution to the research society of the university.
