Announcement on JEE Main 2021 Exam Date Expected Today – Check Live Updates Here
HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has made an important announcement on JEE Main 2021 exam date in today's webinar with students today. The minister said that the syllabus cut is being discussed and exam dates will be notified as early as possible.
HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal interacted with students on December 10, 2020. However, the minister has not given any clarity on the JEE Main 2021 exam date. The minister assured that enough gap will be maintained between board exams and JEE Main. The HRD Minister further said that the government would conduct JEE Main more than twice if required. The dates of JEE Main 2021 will be confirmed as early as possible, assured the Minister. The HRD Minister addressed the different queries put up by students on entrance exams and board exams that will take place in 2021. The notification for the January session of JEE Main 2021 has already been delayed, and the entrance exam is expected to be conducted in February.

The HRD Ministry has already directed NTA to take steps for revising the syllabus for JEE Main 2021. The National Testing Agency will consult different state boards and take a final revision on the syllabus. The syllabus is expected to be revised considering the 30% syllabus cut for 12th students of various boards.
Candidates who cleared JEE Main in 2020 and failed to appear for JEE Advanced due to Covid-19 difficulty and lockdown will get another chance to appear for the exam in 2021. These candidates need to appear for JEE Main 2021.
