AP DEECET Cut-off Declared
The efforts of private colleges have been successful and the cut-offs were reduced.
The Andhra Pradesh Government has declared the cut-off for AP DEECET examination. The examination was held in the month of May. This examination is being conducted every year for the admission into D.Ed course at various D.Ed colleges of Andhra Pradesh. This year, the examination was conducted in online mode which leads to a lot of chaos. The examination was held in amid confusion making most of the candidates nervous about online exam. The candidates were not given proper awareness about the online examination.
Most of the private college managements have requested the government to reduce the cut-off marks. The previous cut-offs were very very high where OC candidates need to get 50% of marks to qualify the examination and for SC/ST candidates it was 40% of marks. The efforts of private colleges have been successful and the cut-offs were reduced.
New Cut-offs for admission into D.Ed courses:-
- General category is 40%
- BC candidates is 35%
- SC/ST candidates is 30%
There has been a delay in announcing the counselling schedule for the DEECET qualified candidates. It has been already two months since the examination was held. So far, no announcement has been made regarding counselling. The candidates are eagerly waiting to seek admission. This year, there has been a confusion regarding the management quota seats. The government is planning to not give admission under management quota for the candidates who did not attend DEECET examination. however, an official announcement is awaited.
