For the first time ever, a total number of 110 objections have been filed on the questions of Andhra Pradesh EAMCET (AP-EAMCET) 2017 examination. Every year, State Council for Higher Education used to receive around 15-20 objections on the questions. However, this year, the situation is different. The candidates who filed objections claimed that some of the answers given as options to various questions were wrong. Some candidates pointed that few questions did not have proper formation, and were hence unclear.

The AP-EAMCET committee convened a meeting on May 3, 2017, to discuss the objections raised by the candidates. Experts from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada and other technical varsities took part in the meeting and verified the objections. However, there is no official information on the number of objections considered by the committee.

One of the officials of the committee explained that a total number of 70 objections have been filed in engineering stream and 40 objections in Bi.PC stream.

There were 160 questions in the AP-EAMCET 2017 examination, and each question carried one mark. Depending on the number of objections considered by the committee, SCHE will consider those objections as ‘Add Score’ and award marks to the candidates. The official information from SCHE is expected by tomorrow.

HRD Minister of state for Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Ganta Srinivasarao will release AP-EAMCET 2017 results on May 5, 2017, at Vijayawada. The minister will also give clarity on the number of objections considered and marks added.
