AP High Court Decision on AP DSC Recruitment 2024: Bench imposes stay on B.Ed eligibility for SGT
The High Court of Andhra Pradesh has taken up the hearing on AP DSC 2024 recruitment for SGT posts. Here are the important details regarding the court hearing.
AP High Court Hearing on AP DSC 2024: The High Court of Andhra Pradesh has taken up the second hearing on AP DSC recruitment 2024 for the Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT) posts. The plea was filed by a section of spirants challenging the B.Ed eligibility for SGT posts. The court confirmed that the B.Ed graduates could not apply for SGT posts either in AP TET or AP DSC. The AP DSC notification 2024 eligibility criteria for SGT posts is against the Supreme Court decision. Therefore, the Government of Andhra Pradesh should revise the eligibility criteria and further conduct the exam accordingly, the High Court ordered.
With the latest judgment of the AP High Court, B.Ed candidates who applied for the AP TET and AP DSC exam for Paper 1/ SGT posts are eligible to appear for the exam. The exam authority will not issue hall tickets to such candidates. B.Ed graduates can only apply for AP TET Paper 2 followed by SA and PGP posts in AP DSC.

AP TET hall tickets 2024 are scheduled to be released on February 23, and with the latest decision of the High Court, it is unclear whether the exam will happen as per the schedule or not. If the exam authority releases the AP TET hall tickets by February 23, the exam be conducted as per the schedule. The candidates are advised to not believe any rumours and wait for an official announcement from the Department of School Education.

AP TET 2024 is scheduled to be conducted from February 27 to March 9 while the AP DSC exam is scheduled to be conducted from March 15 to 30.
