The Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (AP ICET) 2020 is about to be conducted as per its new schedule on the 10th and 11th of September 2020. AP ICET 2020 10th September Shift 1 & 2 Exam Analysis
Shift 1 and 2 of the AP ICET 2020 have been conducted on 10th September 2020. No technical glitches were reported by any candidate and exam was conducted smoothly and without any major complaints. Candidates who appeared for the exam reported that the AP ICET 2020 Day 1 question paper was of moderate difficulty. The Analytical Ability and Mathematical Ability sections were reported to be quite tricky and took up a lot of time of the candidates. However, the Communication Ability section was the saving grace as most of the questions were easy.
AP ICET 2020 10th September Shift 1 Section-Wise Analysis

Analytical Ability | Moderate | The section had a lot of tricky questions. 20 out of the 75 questions in this section were from Data Sufficiency while the remaining 55 covered other topics. |
Mathematical Ability | Moderately Difficulty | Overall, the Mathematical Ability section was found to be the most difficult part of the exam. There were a lot of tricky questions in this section and candidates had to spend more time per question to maintain good accuracy. Some of the common topics seen in this section included Time and Work, Profit and Loss, Ratio and Proportions, Number System, Geometry etc. |
Communication Ability | Easy | Candidates reported that this was the easiest section as compared to the other sections in AP ICET 2020. Vocabulary, Grammar and Comprehension related questions were asked in this section. |

Analytical Ability | Moderate | Analytical Ability section was again split into Problem-Solving and Data Sufficiency questions with 55 and 20 questions in each respectively. There were a number of tricky questions that took up a lot of time of the candidates and required smart time management. However, the overall difficulty level was moderate. |
Mathematical Ability | Difficulty | The Mathematical Ability section troubled the candidates in Shift 2 as well. The questions were difficult and time-consuming but the overall difficulty level was reported to be less than in the morning session. Questions covered a wide range of topics including Profit & Loss, Functions, Probability, Trigonometry, Binominal Theorem, Matrices and Determinants etc. Most of the questions required candidates to use their conceptual knowledge. Only a few were solvable by direct application of the formula. |
Communication Ability | Easy to Moderate | Most of the questions in this section were simple and easy to answer but some were reported to be lengthy. The question paper was as expected by the candidates and covered familiar topics. The RC passages were also quite easy to attempt and were 200 to 300 words in length. |
AP ICET 2020 11th September Shift 1 & 2 Exam Analysis
Both of the shifts on Day 2 of AP ICET 2020 have been conducted successfully. The exam went smooth for all of the candidates on the second day as well. Candidates reported that the overall difficulty level of the question papers on both shifts on Day 2 was moderate with Mathematical Ability section proving to be a bit more difficult than the other two. Analytical Ability | Difficult | On Day 2, the Analytical Ability section was a bit of a surprise to the student as it was considerably more difficult as compared to the previous day. Candidates reported the questions to be time-consuming and tricky to solve. |
Mathematical Ability | Moderate to Difficult | Mathematical Ability section in this shift was a bit easier as compared to Day 1. Candidates reported the questions to be of moderate difficulty but time-consuming. Questions were asked from Binominal & Remainder Theorems, Time and Work, Algebra, Derivatives, Limits, Probability etc. Most of the questions required a good knowledge of Mathematical concepts. Candidates who had focused on formula-based method during practice had trouble attempting this section. |
Communication Ability | Easy to Moderate | Communication Ability has so far proved to be the section that has least troubled AP ICET 2020. The difficulty level ranged from Easy to Moderate level and most of the candidates were able to go through this section within the time limit. The RC passages were around 300 words long and pretty easy to read. |

Questions were moderately difficult and covered a wide range of topics such as arrangements, coding-decoding, charts and graphs etc. The section was significantly easier than the morning shift and candidates were able to get a good attempt with slight difficulty. |
Mathematical Ability | Moderate | There were many questions in Mathematical Ability section in Shift 2, which were quite easy to solve. There were a number of tricky questions in there, which took up a lot of time. However, the difficulty level was not as high as any of the previous sections. Questions covered Number System, Geometry, Profit and Loss, Mensuration and other topics. |
Communication Ability | Moderate to Difficult | The Communications Ability section was reported to be the most difficult in this shift. Candidates who were expecting this section to be easy based on the previous shifts were a bit surprised to find a number of tricky questions here. |
AP ICET 2020 was overall a moderately difficult exam with very few surprise elements. The Mathematical Ability section posed the most difficulty for the candidates. The conducting body ensured that the exam was conducted smoothly and hence candidates got to enjoy a hassle-free examination process.

AP ICET 2020 Exam Day Guidelines and COVID-19 Instructions
Candidates must follow special instructions and keep safety as the first priority at all times during this year's exam. Given below are the exam day instructions and process of conduction of AP ICET 2020.
Reach the exam centre well before the reporting time to avoid crowding and last-minute rush. Make sure you have enough time to calmly go through any COVID-19 safety checks put in place by the conducting body. Due to extra checks and social distancing measures, the entry and exit process may take some time. Be patient and wait for your turn.
Carry the filled COVID-19 self-declaration form, which will be required to produced at the entry points and submitted during the registration process.
Follow the social distancing protocol at all times whether before, during or after the exam. Maintain a safe distance from other candidates as well as from the invigilators and security personnel. Stand only in the designated spots marked on the ground to ensure social distancing.
Strictly adhere to all of the instructions provided by the persons authorised to conduct the exam as that would help in the conducting the exam smoothly and ensure a hassle-free process for you as well as for other candidates.
A thermo gun will be used to check the temperature of candidates at the entry points. Candidates who show abnormal temperature or flu-like systems will be seated in separate rooms.
The biometric verification will not be conducted in this year's exam. The candidates will, however, have to get their photograph capture during the registration process at the exam centres. Hand sanitizers will also be available at the registration desk and several other points for the candidates.
The conducting body has also specified that no waiting area will be available for any person accompanying the candidates. In such a scenario, it is better to either come alone as that would help reduce crowding.
