AP: Lateral Entry in B.Tech Agriculture Engineering through AP ECET 2020
APSCHE has confirmed that admission in B.Tech Agriculture Engineering through Lateral Entry mode on the basis of AP ECET rank. Diplomas in Agriculture pass outs are eligible for admission.
Andhra Pradesh – It is good news for Diploma in Agriculture pass outs in Andhra Pradesh who are aspiring to take Lateral Entry admission in B.Tech Agriculture Engineering course in various colleges located in the state. From the academic session 2020-21, candidates can seek Lateral Entry in Agriculture Engineering admission through AP ECET. Until 2019, Acharya NG Ranga Agriculture University used to conduct AGRIENGGCET for lateral entry admission. With the new rule, all the candidates passed or pursuing final year Diploma in Agriculture course must appear for AP ECET for further studies.
Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE) has taken a decision in this regard. AP ECET is a state-level entrance exam conducted for Lateral Entry admission in B.Tech course in Andhra Pradesh. Until 2019, there was a separate entrance exam for Agriculture Engineering admission through lateral entry. The new rule will reduce the burden of varsity with regard to conducting a separate entrance exam.
AP ECET 2020 official notification has been released on March 04, 2020, and the online application form submission closes on May 07. A new paper i.e., Agriculture will be included in AP ECET, and the syllabus for the same shall be confirmed along with the official notification.
