Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is continuously delaying the results of APPSC Group 1 Preliminary Exam 2019. The exam was conducted on May 25, 2019, and the results were expected to be announced by July 2019. However, the results have been delayed due to the High Court’s stay on the same. Without announcing the results of the preliminary exam, APPSC has announced the Group 1 Main Exam Dates 2019. Almost 60,000 candidates who had appeared for Group 1 Prelims are left confused due to the delay in the announcement of Prelims results. Only if Prelims results are out, they can start preparing for the Mains exam.
APPSC Group 1 Mains exam is scheduled to take place from December 12 to 23, 2019. The continuous delay in the announcement of Prelims results is affecting the preparation of the candidates for the Group 1 Mains exam, 2019.
A petition was filed in Andhra Pradesh High Court seeking the cancellation of APPSC Group 1 Prelims exam. The petitioner alleged that the Calculators were not allowed into the exam hall. As per rule, calculators are allowed into the exam hall, and APPSC had violated the rules, submitted the petitioner. The petitioner also pointed out that there were translation errors in the question paper, and the Telugu translation had many errors.
After hearing the arguments, the High Court has imposed a stay on the announcement of APPSC Group 1 results. APPSC is not supposed to conduct the Main exam until the announcement of results, and the announcement of dates for the Mains exam is making candidates feel jittery.
