Arunachal Pradesh to Streamline Stipend Policy for Students With Aadhaar Card
Arunachal Pradesh government has decided to frame a stipend policy for the students of the state.
Here is a good news for the students of Arunachal Pradesh, as the state government has seriously taken their cause so as to ensure the scholarships and also at the same time, streamline their Aadhaar registration process so that all the students hailing from far off and inaccessible areas can get the benefits.

The state government on Wednesday, 7 December 2016, decided to frame a stipend policy for the students of the state. The government also seeks to make Aadhaar registration compulsory for all the students.
An official press release stated that Chowna Mein, Deputy Chief Minister of the state chaired a meeting with the higher officials of the Government in this regard and discussed how to streamline the disbursement process of stipends for students.
It was also decided to examine all stipend and central schemes that offer higher rates of interests to tribal students. They also discussed the strategies to be converged. At the meeting, under the chairmanship of Commissioner of Education, a committee of secretaries was constituted to formulate the Stipend Policy at the earliest.

The press release further mentioned that the Deputy Chief Minister asked the office of the state government to form a new stipend policy for students within the current financial year so that it could be effective from the next academic session. He also said that it has become very important to streamline the disbursement of stipend following the draining out of Government resources.
