Arunachal University or RGU & IIE Guwahati Sign MOU to Promote Entrepreneurship
Arunachal based Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) has signed an MoU with Guwahati Chapter of Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE).
With the aim of developing entrepreneurship culture among the new generation in the North Eastern Region of India, Arunachal Pradesh based Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Guwahati Chapter of Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE).

The MoU was signed in a solemn function held at Guwahati. Arindam Garg, Head of the Department of Management represented RGU and Director Manoj Kr Das represented IIE Guwahati. In a press release, IIE Guwahati said that the Mou has been signed between the two institutes in order to work on different domains like:
- Impart entrepreneurship education
- Help capacity building
- Conduct seminars and workshops in the University
- Identify avenues for entrepreneurs in North-East Region
- Give special focus to Arunachal Pradesh
Better known as the Arunachal University, Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) is a central University, was established in 1984. A present, around 32 colleges from different parts of the state are affiliated to the University. The University has been catering higher education to students from neighbouring state like Assam and Meghalaya.The University offers Undergraduate, Post Graduate & M. Phil programmes in different subjects. It also offers B.Ed. programme.

Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship Guwahati under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship was established to develop entrepreneurs in the North East region. The institute provides training, consultancy and research in micro and small enterprises with focus on entrepreneurship development. The Institute was established in 1994 under the aegis of North East Council (NEC), Governments of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Assam and SIDBI as its stakeholders.
