Assam Class 10th Board Exam 2022 Starts With Previous Year’s Question Paper: Read Important Exam Guidelines

Assam Class 10th Board Exam 2022 started on March 15, Tuesday with the last year’s unused question papers. The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) has decided to conduct the board exams on the basis of question papers that were created for last year’s board exams. This decision of the board has received large criticism from others. In 2021, the SEBA board did not conduct Class 10th and 12th board exams due to the COVID-19 situation. The question papers were created for the exam but the exam got scrapped due to rising cases in the state. Hence, the board has made a decision to conduct 2022 board exams using those question papers only.

The sources from the SEBA board have classified that the decision of using the old question papers is aimed towards cutting the associated costs. The Secretary of SEBA, Naranarayn Nath stated that the last year’s unused question papers are stocked in a secure place. Moreover, the curriculum for the exam has also not changed. So, the question papers for Assam Class 10th Board Exam 2022 will not be replaced. He further added that there will be again a 40% cut in the syllabus for Class 10th this year. This is because there was a miss in offline classes for months and the syllabus could not be completed. This year, the Assam Class 10th Board Exam 2022 will be conducted at a total of 903 centers, with an increase of 25 centers. A total of 4.31 lakh students registered for the exam this year. In order to overcome the paper leak incidents, the board has appointed a retired DIG to take care of the safety of question papers.

Important Exam Day Guidelines for Assam Class 10th Board Exam 2022

The candidates must keep in mind some important guidelines for Assam Class 10th Board Exam 2022 as mentioned below:

• The candidates must bring admit card to the exam hall as without it they will not be allowed to sit for the exam.
• The candidates must visit the exam hall at least 1 hour before the exam.
• It is also important for the candidates to bring government-issued ID card along with admit card.
• No technical devices such as calculators, digital watches, etc. are allowed inside the exam hall.
• Before the exam, students will be given 15 minutes to read the question paper carefully and understand the instructions.
• The candidates must leave the exam hall only when they are instructed to do so by the exam invigilator.
• All the candidates must follow the COVID-19 guidelines, wear face masks, and carry hand sanitizers.
