Assam HSLC 2022 Exam to be Conducted Using 2021 Booklets
Assam HSLC 2022 Exam to be Conducted from March 15 to March 31, 2022 using the booklets and question papers from 2021 in order to protect the natural resources. Check below for the details.
Assam HSLC 2022 exam will be conducted from March 15 to March 31, 2022. It has been announced by the Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) Assam, on Monday, Mar 7, 2022, that in order to conserve the natural resources and environment, the previous year's booklets and question papers will be used to conduct the 2022 examination for class 10th.
The SEBA could not conduct the exams for the 10th class in 2021 because of a global pandemic. As a result of which printed booklets and question papers remained unutilized and therefore, SEBA has taken an initiative to utilize them in the 2022 examination.

It has also been notified that the 2021 question papers were prepared to keep in mind the syllabus which is strictly in accordance with the 2022 syllabus as well. However, many people have shown their concern stating that the syllabus for both years is quite different.
Sankar Jyoti Baruah, General Secretary of the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) has also shown his concern towards the students, teachers, and parents stating that this initiative could mean a burden of extra 10 percent on the students since this year SEBA has deducted 40 percent syllabus as compared to the last year when only 30 percent syllabus was slashed.
Taking to his Facebook handle, Mr. Barauh said, “Last year, the question papers were of 70 percent of the syllabus but the SEBA has already announced to conduct exams with 60 percent of the syllabus this year. The announcement made one week before the examination will affect the future of the students,”.

Assam Class 10 board exams will be conducted from March 15 to March 31, 2022 in two shifts. The morning shift will take place from 9 AM to 12 noon, while the second shift will occur from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Along with that, the official notification from SEBA also mentioned that the extra ten minutes will be allotted to the students in both the shifts, i.e. from 8:30 am to 9 am in the morning shift and 1:20 pm to 1:30 pm in the afternoon shift, to read the question paper only.
