A student hailing from Jorhat of upper Assam has broken the 50-year record of Delhi University in academic field thereby creating a history.
Shusmita Neog a student of Delhi School of Economics scored 91.8 percent marks while breaking 50 years old records of Dr. Rakha Tullah Khan in the result of recently declared MA examination in Geography.
She did her graduation from Miranda house while securing 83.6% from Delhi University. After that, she got her admission in Delhi School of Economics for the PG courses. She did her schooling from Camel School Jorhat and then she joined Assam Riffles Nodal School Jorhat for the 12th Examination. She was also a topper in her graduation from Delhi University. She has been invited to various seminars and has attended seminars held at different countries like -Hongkong, Thailand, Spain, UK, Canada, and NASA.
She is a daughter of Social worker Horesh Neog of Jorhat and her mother Manju Neog is School Headmistress. She is a very studious student and working hard from her childhood. She wants to clear civil service examination under UPSC. But before that, she wants to do her post-doctoral degree. She is also active in social work and loves doing service for disabled. Right now she has been working as assistant professor at Miranda House New Delhi.
