Azim Premji University (APU) Hosted its 7th Convocation Ceremony on August 24

The Azim Premji University of Karnataka hosted its seventh convocation ceremony on 24th August 2019, Saturday. 103 students of undergraduate programmes and 352 postgraduate students of the university received their degrees at the event. The seventh convocation ceremony of Azim Premji University was held at the varsity’s campus in Bangalore, Karnataka.

The Vice-Chancellor of Azim Premji University, Anurag Behar, addressed everyone present at the occasion and congratulated all the students who received their degrees. He expressed his delight and gratitude on the students graduating and moving further in their lives to achieve their dreams. He said that the students have made very important life choices which entail working for the development of the country. He also said that several students have taken up some of the most important challenges that are faced by our country heads on.

Azim Premji University was established in the year 2011 and has an alumni strength of total 1,896 students. At present, the varsity offers undergraduate programmes in Biology, Economics, Physics, Mathematics, and Humanities. These courses are offered with the option of an Honours. Azim Premji University offers postgraduate courses in Development, Education, Economics, Law (LLM), and Public Policy in Governance.

The Azim Premji University has also started the construction of a new state of the art campus of the university that will be spread across an area of 2.6 million square feet. The establishment is underway and the academic operations of this new campus are expected to commence from the month of July in the year 2020.

Azim Premji University celebrated its convocation ceremony with fervour and delight. The guests present for the event addressed the students and gave them advice on their career ahead while also encouraging them.
