BAMU to Offer Course in Stock Market from June 2017, Signs MoU with NSE
The course has been named as NSE Certified Capital Market Professional Course. Promoting financial literacy among professionals, youth and the general public on a large scale is the principal objective of the programme.
Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Marathwada University is going to offer a course in Stock Market which will start in the month of June 2017. For this purpose, BAMU has signed a Memorandum of Understanding or MoU with National Stock Exchange, Mumbai on January 11, 2017. The course will offer basic knowledge on the stock market. It is a six-month course, and the varsity will admit 40 students for the first batch.

Syed Azharuddin, a senior faculty at BAMU, revealed that the course is a part of a campaign to promote financial literacy. The entire focus will be on enhancing awareness on fundamental aspects of the stock market among public.
He further added that the course takes into account not only the most important aspects of the stock market, but also technical analysis and portfolio management. Instead of theoretical based teaching and learning, the course will majorly highlight the practical oriented approach. The students will be taught by senior faculties of the varsity and a resource person from outside.

A minimum qualification of a graduate degree in any discipline is enough to take up the Stock Market course. The course fee will be Rs.15,000 and the candidates who complete the course successfully will receive a certificate from BAMU and NSE jointly.
