Bihar Board New Pattern for Class 10 & 12 Exams 2019
Bihar board has introduced a slew of changes in the exam pattern of Class 10 & 12 board exams 2019. The aim is to improve pass percentage and enable students to secure more marks in board exams.
Bihar board has taken an important decision to increase pass percentage in Class 10 & 12 board exams 2019. The timetable for Class 12 and Class 10 board exams of Bihar has been released, and the model question papers for the same are uploaded on the official website of BSEB (Bihar School Examinations Board). Now, the board has come with a slew of changes in the existing pattern for Class 10 & 12 board exams, and the new changes will come into effect from 2019 board exams.
Over the last three years, the pass percentage of Class 10 & 12 students in board exams was not up to the mark. The major reason for unsatisfactory pass percentage was lack of enough options for students while answering long-form subjective questions. Therefore, the Bihar board has decided to increase the options to choose for long-form subjective questions. The move will make students more comfortable with regard to long-form subjective questions and reduce their stress.

Last year, Bihar board introduced 50% objective questions for Class 10 & 12. Until 2017, there were no objective questions for Class 10 while Class 12 had only 40% multiple-choice questions.
Chairperson of BSEB, Mr. Anand Kishore revealed that change in the exam pattern and inclusion of more options for long-form subjective questions would not only improve the pass percentage of Bihar but also increase the marks or percentage of students in board exams so that they can get admissions in top institutes in and outside of Bihar.
